Streams Change

WMA streams will be removed soon and the 64k aacPlus. The only 2 choices will be 128k MP3 and 32k aacPlus.

New Server

The new server will be installed Monday, November 1st around 8pm. Downtime will be ~30 minutes and we'll be fixing bugs through Tuesday.

VIP/RIP Rate Changes

Effective 01JAN2011:

Annual subscriptions will be increased from $49.99 to $59.99.
Monthly subscriptions will be increased from $4.99 to $5.99.
Annual discounted subscriptions will be increased from $15 to $20.

32k MP3 Streams Obsolete

All 32k MP3 streams are now obsolete. All attempts to connect to them will be redirected to the much higher quality 32k aacPlus. Make sure you are using a player that supports aacPlus technology such as Winamp or VLC Media Player.

Downtime

Our servers will be moving to a new datacenter starting at 9/29/09 at 11:59pm. We expect the move to take roughly 2 hours. The websites and streams will be unavailable during this time.

Follow Us!

Today we added new "Follow Us" blocks on all the websites which include Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook. We will use the 24seven.FM Twitter account to keep you informed of outages and other important happenings.

128k Streams

The 128k streams are now free to everyone! If you prefer these quality steams, please consider subscribing for a premium membership or donating to your favorite 24seven.FM station.

64k Ogg & HTMLView

The 64k Ogg streams are back! Also, the listen pages have been updated to offer a choice of HTMLView on the Windows Media Player WMA streams. HTMLView allows you to see the Now Playing, Queue, and Chat inside of Windows Media Player.

New feature on all sites: Developer API

Some of our users have done a great job developing gadgets and widgets and whatnot. We've recently developed a new feature for all the websites in the 24seven.fm network that should make their development a lot easier.

They will no longer need to parse the websites to get the queue, history and what's playing. We've put a webservice on all the sites that give them all the information they need in one go.

Those of you who are not software developers or have no idea what this is all about need not worry. This is technical stuff ;)

Planned Downtime

The 24seven.FM server will be taken down around midnight, Saturday 03-MAY-2008. It is being moved to a different facility and may take 1-2 hours for it to come back up.
